Secret of the Andes

This book, Secret of the Andes, is about a young boy named Cusi who lives with an old man named Chuto in a hidden valley in the Andes Mountains of Peru.  Cusi does not know what secret his valley holds.  Cusi soon starts learning from a teacher.  When he is done learning about the ancient Inca empire among other things, he is sent on a journey.  This is only his second time leaving the valley; the first going with Chuto to the salt pits.  Cusi travels to Cusco, the holy city of the Inca's.  He wants to join a family but can't seem to find the right one and when he thinks he has, he has to make an important decision.  Will he go back to the mountains and to their secret or will he stay in the city?  Join Cusi and his lama friend, Misti, in his travels.
